When to use: Before first energization of a simple low-voltage circuit or interface branch.

- Confirm the intended source voltage is present
- Confirm common/reference is identified consistently
- Confirm polarity-sensitive devices are oriented correctly
- Confirm expected resistor values are installed
- Confirm resistor wattage is appropriate for expected dissipation
- Confirm no obvious shorts exist across the intended load
- Confirm the circuit matches the latest drawing revision
If measured values differ materially from the expected values, stop and re-check the circuit before continuing.
